Is there free parking at the hostel?
Yes! You can park for FREE in front of our hostel on Patterson Street or pull in to the gravel lot behind our hostel. You can access the gravel parking lot via the alleyways on 18th or 19th Avenue. Please register your vehicle with our office to prevent towing.
What is the process for check in and check out?
Check-In is after 3 PM. We know you are excited to get out there are see Music City and we are excited to host you, but please allocate 10 – 15 minutes to check-in. For a more expedient check-in please have your documents ready and pre-read our rules and policies that will need to be signed and initialed on our registration sheet. Early check-ins will have access to our courtyard, office, bathrooms with shower, WIFI, and kitchen. Check out is by 11:00 AM. Please dropoff linens and towels in the office and sign out. Check-outs after 11:00 AM will incur a late check-out fee of $12.

Is there a kitchen?
Yes, our community kitchen is equipped with induction stove burners, oven, microwave, refrigerator, beer/wine fridge, and most necessary utensils/dishes. Be sure and check out the “free” bins for unused food from previous guests. The Kitchen is accessible during office hours, from 7 AM to 11 PM.
Is breakfast included?
With the amount of great eateries around downtown Nashville we can’t compete! Breakfast is not included, but FREE tea and coffee are provided every day.
Is there a curfew or shut out time?
No. There is no curfew, but we do ask guests to be courteous and quiet when coming in late at night. We lock our office & kitchen at 11:00 PM but every guest has full access to their rooms via door codes provided at checkin.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our standard cancellation policy requires a minimum of 48 hours notice prior to 8 am of checkin date for a 75% refund. 25% of your total is nonrefundable. Please note, this policy varies for special event dates. The exact policy will be included when you make a reservation.
How close is the hostel to Downtown and Broadway?
Music City Hostel is located in Midtown and is about 1.5 miles to the heart of downtown. We are just blocks away from Ellison Place, Centennial Park, Midtown, and Vanderbilt University.
Is there a laundry facility?
Guests can do laundry during office hours for $6 (wash/dry/soap).
Are there gender-specific only dorms?
All of our rooms contain 4 beds and can be Female only or Co-Ed.
Are there private rooms at the hostel?
Yes. Private rooms may be purchased for up to 4 guests. Please see rates. Private rooms are identical to our dorm rooms, however occupancy will be limited to your group only. Private Rooms can be 1 full-size bed to 2 twin/twin beds.
Are there rooms with private bathrooms?
Unfortunately, no. All bathrooms are located in the hallway. Some rooms have ensuite toilet/sinks however these cannot be requested or reserved.
Is the hostel safe?
The hostel is located in Midtown Nashville in a commercial area busy with business and hospital traffic. All guests must show government issued photo ID as proof of travel and matching bank card or credit card for identity verification. All guests have access to the facility 24×7 through security access controlled doors and staff are available on call 24/7.
What do I need to qualify to stay at the hostel?
All guests must show either a valid foreign passport or a valid government issued photo ID (driver’s license) and matching credit card or bank card. Guests under 18-years-old must be accompanied by a legal guardian over the age of 21 and purchase a private room. All guests must have an address at least 60-miles outside of Nashville to qualify for a stay at the Music City Hostel.
Am I allowed to drink alcohol inside the hostel?
We want guests to enjoy their time in Nashville and take advantage of trying some of the great local beers our city has to offer. Guests may drink beer and wine (anything under 15% alcohol) in our common area and courtyard. No alcohol is permitted in the rooms. Liquor is not permitted, but we’ll happily store it for you until you check out! Intoxication that disrupts the peace or creates tension within our community is not allowed. Individuals who disturb the happiness of the hostel will be removed without refund at staff discretion.
Can I bring my pet with me?
We love cats and dogs (or birds, lizards, goldfish, etc.), however not everyone staying at our hostel may feel the same way. So, unfortunately, pets are not allowed. The only exception is for ADA certified service animals.
Can I store my bag at the hostel before check-in or after check-out?
Guests can leave their bags in our office for free, though we do not assume liability if items go missing. Small lockers are available for free but you’ll need to bring your own lock.
Can I bring visitors into the hostel?
Great, more friends! Visitors may visit for up to 30 minutes in the courtyard or common areas before 11 PM as long as they notify our staff. Visitors are not permitted inside the dorm suites for community security purposes.
Do you have WIFI?
Yes. We have WIFI available for FREE to guests in all of our rooms and common areas. If you do not have your own WIFI enabled device we have community computers for use for a small fee.
