Ron and the other managers were really helpful, doing whatever was necessary to make my stay pleasant. My time at the hostel was free of problems."

"I stayed at the Music City Hostel from September through December of 2007 as part of a semester fellowship with Vanderbilt University. The Hostel environment offered the best of both worlds. It was close to campus (a pleasant walk of about a mile that gave me some good daily exercise) and yet quiet enough during the day-time to get lots of work done. In the evenings, it offered a respite from work with an inviting and communal atmosphere. It was always easy to find fun people who were up for a drink, and the traveling musicians that played in the courtyard made for a great experience. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, and Ron and Tracee were very hospitable and they always went out of their way for their guests. I'd come back anytime!"

"Excellent resources, safe environment, friendly people. Staff is reasonable and interactive. Apartments are very comfortable. Location couldn’t be better for proximity to Vanderbilt, downtown, and the freeway. Watch for out of country travelers ;)."

"Ron rescued me from the Super 8 when I arrived in Nashville as a hurricane evacuee. Despite his plans to renovate the hostel, Ron allowed me to move in almost immediately, provided furniture and even lent me his computer until I was able to find somewhere else to live. The location is fantastic with lots of ethnic restaurants and the Vanderbilt campus within walking distance, and the hostel itself is comfortable and quiet."
